The conference included several important panel discussions, with a focus on the current challenges that insurance companies face. Draženka Janjanin, director of the Agency, gave an introductory lecture on the topic: “The situation on the insurance market”, which opened the professional part of the Conference.
Director Janjanin pointed out that, in the previous challenging period, the stability of the insurance sector of Republika Srpska was preserved. She also pointed out that the activities of insurance companies in the pre-designation of products and sales of insurance to the needs of current and future insurance consumers, as well as new technological solutions, are key factors in the development of the insurance market.
Participating in the conference, as part of the panel: “Application of international standards IFRS 9 and IFRS 17”, was taken by Mileva Vaško, MSc, Head of the Sector for Financial – Accounting Supervision, and, among other things, she pointed out the necessity of timely preparation for the application of these standards and activities which should be undertaken in that direction.
