Director of the Insurance Agency of the Republika Srpska Draženka Janjanin participated in the Meeting of Senior Representatives of the Insurance Regulators of Southeastern Europe and Turkey (SEET Region) which was held in Vienna on 03.12.2025. year, organized by the Austrian Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FMA).
At the meeting, information was exchanged on supervisory priorities, regulatory challenges, and risks arising from the current macroeconomic environment and their impact on the insurance industry, while identifying the need to strengthen regional cooperation of insurance sector supervisors.
Director of the Republika Srpska Insurance Agency, Draženka Janjanin, presented the market and insurance sector of the Republika Srpska, pointing out the basic development activities of the Agency, which primarily relate to preparation for alignment with the “risk-based” regulatory framework, raising the level of knowledge of the population about the role and concept of insurance, and identified the need to develop a methodological framework for macroprudential supervision and identify systemic risks in the insurance sector.
