The Insurance Agency of the Republic of Srpska organized the 10th anniversary Conference of Insurance Supervisors of Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe (CESEE ISI). The conference, held on October 2 in Trebinje, was attended by 32 representatives of 14 regulators from 11 European countries.

The conference, as before, discussed current topics in the field of insurance supervision, and the focus was on the following topics:

• Conditions and supervisory procedures for the appointment of members of the management board and other key functions in insurance companies

• Supervision of insurance intermediaries and expected changes in EU legislation regarding insurance mediation Experiences from on-site supervision (criteria, frequency and types of supervision, etc.)

• Monitoring/verifying the quality of external audits of financial statements of insurance companies.

The aim of this conference is to exchange experiences between regulators and to determine best supervisory practices in accordance with applicable regulations and EU directives.
