Representatives of the Insurance Agency of the Republic of Srpska participated in the conference Republic of Srpska Insurance Days 2023, organized by the Association of Insurance Companies of the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Srpska. The central event of the Republic of Srpska Insurance Days 2023 was a conference entitled: “Challenges of the insurance sector in the age of global uncertainty”.
Draženka Janjanin acting Director of the Agency heldd an introductory lecture with the topic: “Trends in the insurance market of the Republic of Srpska – challenges and opportunities”, which opened the professional part of the conference “Challenges of the insurance sector in the age of global uncertainty”.
The insurance market of the Republic of Srpska has preserved its stability, with the continuous growth of insurance premiums and other indicators. Although the MTPL insurance premium dominates the premium structure, there is a trend of a gradual decrease in the share of the MTPL premium, with a certain increase in the share of the life insurance premium, which is one of the positive indicators. The potential for further growth and development of the insurance market exists, primarily through the diversification of the insurance portfolio, increase in premium per capita, adaptation of products and sales of insurance to customers and new technological solutions, and adaptation of property insurance coverage to the risks of climate change.
Raising the level of knowledge about the role and importance of insurance, primarily voluntary insurance, and preparing the market for the implementation of EU regulations, including the acceptance of good practices from the immediate environment, represents the strategic determination of the Agency for further development and preservation of the stability of insurance industry in Republic of Srpska,” Mrs. Janjanin pointed out, among other things.
